2010 — 2012 MPM — Master of Project Management at University Reykjavík
Graduated in June 2012. Final paper was called Assessing the status of project management within a city hall of a European capital with regards to maturity and knowledge management.
2005 — 2007 MSc — Multimedia and Interactive Systems at Edinburgh Napier University Graduated with distinction in July 2007. Included courses such as Interactive Systems Design, Digital Media, Software Development and Web Page Technologies. Dissertation was called "Introduction of ICT to Trainee Teachers at the University of Iceland: An Online Delivery".
2003 — 2004 Postgraduate diploma — Education, Teaching credentials at University of Iceland First class grade. Courses included: Multimedia in Education, Theories of Teaching and Learning, Foreign Language Teaching, Adolescent Development and Education and Personal and Social Problems of Students. Practical teachers training in Borgarholtsskoli.
2002 — 2004 Postgraduate diploma — Practical Journalism and Media at University of Iceland First class grade. Courses included: Journalism, Broadcast communication, Mass Media and the Icelandic Society I and II, Articulation, Diction and Voice, Writing for Practical Purposes.
1996 — 2000 BA degree — English Literature and Linguistics at University of Iceland First class grade. Course included: Linguistics I and II, British Literature I and II, English Grammar, English Literature 1900-1945, British Literature I and II, American Literature I and more. Dissertation on The Fate of Female Characters in Thomas Hardy′s Far from the Madding Crowd, Tess of the d′Urbervilles and Jude the Obscure.

2008-12 Project manager in Web Development at the City of Reykjavik My main responsibilities are eReykjavík, a gateway for the residents of Reykjavík City, and the maintenance and development of www.reykjavik.is and numerous other minor websites belonging to institutions and offices of the city.
2007-8 Project manager Educational Centre for Public Employees. My main responsibilities are managing the web and further development of it. I also manage publications, set up of courses and all maintenance regarding our electronic registration along with general customer relations.
2004-9 Part-time teacher
University of Iceland Teach the course Multimedia in Education, a full-year course.
2005 English Teacher
The Comprehensive College School at Armuli in Reykjavik Taught English one term as a substitute teacher. Full-time.
2004-2005 Project manager
Centre of Teaching and Learning - University of Iceland Filmed lectures, captured, edited and posted online for distance learning students. I assisted teaching short courses on MS Word, Excel and Power Point for current staff at the University amongst various other assignments.
2000-2002 Project manager
University Bookstore I was chief buyer of magazines and newspapers, supervised the setup of course study books online and supervised notices to customers on specially ordered books along with general reception, telephone answering and taking book orders.
1998-2003 Japanskar velar ehf (Japanese Engines ehf) I supervised the business's website development along with various office chores part-time.
1997 The Reykjavik Municipal Work School Worked as an instructor with adolescents in various out-door assignments. A summer job.
Other skills
I took a Red Cross seminar on interview techniques and psychical first aid amongst other things 2004. I passed the reporters test at RUV (The Icelandic National Broadcasting Service) in March 2004. I partook in Dale Carnegie Course: Effective Communications and Human Relations autumn 2001.
Computing
Good knowledge of MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint and FrontPage. CorelDraw, Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator and GoLive. HTML and XHTML and Macromedia's Dreamweaver, Fireworks, Flash, Director-Apple's Final Cut Pro, Digidesign's Pro Tools and JBuilder and Java.
Languages Fluent in Icelandic and English and I am able to read Danish, German, Swedish and Norwegian alright but have little experience in writing and speaking them.
Social activities Treasurer for the Edinburgh Society in Iceland the years 2011-2013. Webmaster for Comment, website for the Practical journalism student association 2002-2003. Treasurer for BOG the English Department Student Association 1997-1999. Treasurer for the graduation group of The Comprehensive College of Armuli spring 1996. I've always been active in student associations and social activities throughout my school years. I was involved in the PTA's for Hlidaskoli (Primary School) and Solhlid (Nursery).
Interests
I am extremely interested in literature and films. When I want to relax I read a book or watch a good movie or TV show. I am into design of all kinds and photography. I regularly exercise and am interested in health and good living.

Was in the editorial of the Student Paper at the University of Iceland for the year 2003- 2004 and wrote various articles for the paper. Had articles published in Morgunbladid and DV-Magasin in relation to my studies in Practical Journalism. An article on Bridget Jones' Diary published in a film magazine.
