Speaking English now

Unnur and I woke up on Sunday morning and we could hear Óðinn playing alone in the living room. Nothing news worthy in it usually except this time he was playing in English!! Yes he now plays in English, he answers me sometimes in English and speaks to people without hesitation.

The kids are only 9 days away from going back to Iceland and I'll have to keep myself very busy studying. There is coursework to hand in on the 11th and 18th of May and then 2 exams some time late in May and then it will be time for my dissertation. However I have plans to go down to York and Harrogate to meet up with friends and former collegues from FÁ who will be in Harrogate in a conference. Then Edda Lára and her family will show up at my house on the 12th and stay for a few days over Easter. I invited my self over to the Rae's family on Easter Sunday to have traditional lamb and hopefully some Icelandic chocolate eggs. Yummy, they are sooo good.

I was hoping to go to London in the first weekend of April but that seems to be off the table and I a friend had asked me to go with him to Riga sometime during the three weeks off school but I'm afraid I'm just too busy. However I'm flexible and if things come up I might jump on a plane somewhere.

I had intended to keep it a secret from my parents but because of a certain young person in my household my mother now knows that I'll show up in Iceland on the 20th of April and leave again on the 23rd. So plan is to maybe be somewhere in a particular cafe or a pub on the night of the 21st and so if any one wants to come see me they are welcome. It is such a short time and hardly doable to try and do a visits round.

Well on with the butter (áfram með smjörið) and I'll give an update on events no later than a week from now. Cheers.

ps. if anyone who reads this would prefer me to write in Icelandic speak up and I'll add submissions in Icelandic as well.
