Snow

O Yes, it has actually snowed in Edinburgh. I mean we have had some snowfall before this winter but it is actually covering parts of the streets now and I understand it will snow all through the weekend!

My Viva Voce is tomorrow and once that is done I only have my grade to wait for and vola! my MSc will be completed. All there will be left to do is to show up in July for the graduation. This all based on the assumption that I have actually passed :)

I've been meaning to shop for the last few days and have taken my daughter into quite a lot of shops, I even drove into Glasgow yesterday and managed to get out of the city and on to the M8 again without too much trouble - it's the spatial intelligence working for me there :) Anyway, for some reason my daughter now has new jeans, shoes, coat, scarf, underwear, socks, t-shirts and leggings (we have also found a dress for her confirmation but haven't bought it yet) while I have a long sleeved t-shirt and a tunic. I wish sometimes I had the shopping gene but I think this all comes down to me being a bit mean when it comes to spending money on myself :)

Óðinn had his last day of After-School-Club today and they had a party for the occasion there was a lovely poster hung up and they had lollipops and music to dance to - will post pics when I find the cord to transfer images to my computer from the digital camera. Was perhaps a little bit too excited when packing last week and have shipped off a few items I could have used in the last couple of days.

It is time for bed now. Must get up early take Óðinn to school and then spend 2 hours preparing for my Viva Voce, or defend my dissertation for those of you who don't know the term. I will spend the two hours at Starbucks hopefully in the company of Ian Rankin and Dylan Moran :) If you don't know who they are Google them but a hint Ian Rankin = Rebus and Dylan Moran = Black's Books.
